Dell Wireless extender

Hey guys,
I have the Dell Inspiron 8200 with the built in wireless minipci card. Does anyone know how I can add the wireless extender. I can't think of the name right now. But the wire needs to be attached to the card somehow. On a PCMCIA card there is a hole that is covered but you can remove it plug it in. On my card though since it is internal I don't know. The antena runs though the machine but I haven't taken the shell off to find where it ends. Can someone help me?

I've never heard of a wireless extender...
Is this for short distance wireless like in within a house / business?
If so you could use another WAP as a bridge ifyou need more distance.

The wireless extender is made by Lucent Technologies. My friend has a laptop with a PCMCIA card. The wireless extender plugs into this card, and increases the range of his wifi by 50% or more depending. Now comes the question. I know the current Lucent Tech. extender's adapter will not fit onto any spot on my card. Here's where it's weird...on my card there are two spots. that's right two. for a wifi antena to be connected. In their instructions they only connect to one of them, and don't even mention the other. Is is just for looks or can you in fact hook another antena to the jack. I'm sure someplace you can buy the same antena that wraps around inside your machine. And just have it outside.

Vass do you know where I can buy some WAP bridge devices? I have a linksys WAP right now with 4 ethernet ports. Will another Linksys one work?
