Question
dell

i was looking into laptops some more today and realized that i probably wont find the power i need within my budget if i bought new, and someone had previously suggested buying a refurb from dell... i found some pretty good deals within my price range, and i just want to know if anyone has experience with dell refurbs and their quality... my main concern is that they've obviously broken once already (since they're refurbs...) so they're probably more likely to break again (vs. a brand new one)... any input here would be appreciated

I would advocate Dell refurbed laptops. I have had two friends purchase them, and they have had no problems at all with them.

Not all returns are 'broken'. A lot of their returns are simply wrong orders by companies. And they dissect them and rebuild them on top of that.

If I were buying a laptop, the only thing I would buy is a refurbed Dell.

We sell Dell refurbs in our store, and I would never go with any other notebook that is not new. Being that I'm the service technician I look at a computer from the number of times I'm going to have to fix it.

The Dell's we sell NEVER come back! They're great!
