    Wrong battery estimation

     
    i have a fujitsu siemens amilo xi 2428. when i run it on battery, it turns off suddenly without hibernating or anything at 12% remaining battery power.
    what can be wrong? and how can i fix it?

    How old is the battery?
    Are you running WIn 7?

    no, i am running windows vista home premium and the battery is about 2 years old
