Hey guys,

I got a problem with connecting my laptop and I found this forum when searching on google for solutions.

I currently have a HP laptop to which I want to connect to my Samsung 1080p LCD TV. Using a regular VGA, I can connect and get a good full HD picture with no problems, but that is only when the laptop is on battery.
Because of the fact that I wanna watch movies in full HD, I wanna plug my laptop to a wall outlet so I can get more juice from the processor cause right now with just the battery the videos are a laggy on 1080p.

The problem I'm having is that, as soon as I plug my laptop to the wall outlet, the image on the TV blinks and has a lot of random distorted lines, also I hear a buzzing sound (not sure if it's from TV speakers or TV itself). It's as if there's too much or not enough power sent to the TV or something.

Does anyone know the reason?
Laptop on battery displays perfectly on my TV, it's just as soon as I plug it in to the wall it goes insane.

This is my first post and first time on this forum but if anyone wants to help I'd appreciate.

Thanks for everyone's time.
