HP DV6500Z Blu Ray Upgrade
I am trying to find out if I can successfully install a Blu Ray drive in my HP DV6500Z CTO laptop. I know I have the specs, but I want to know if any Blu Ray drives are compatible.
HP has told me that I cannot install one, but searching the internet seems to suggest otherwise.
Does anyone have any suggestions/thoughts? I would appreciate it very much. One of the drives I'm looking at is the BD 5500A, which I know uses the same connection as my current internal DVDRW drive.
Thanks.

If it is the same connection (and it will fit) I can't see why it wouldn't work.... What is the screen res?

The screen is 1280x800, and the laptop also has an HDMI port so I plan hooking it up to an HDTV.
