Well, I bought that dell inspiron 8100 I was investigating and now I have another question. It came with a works suite but I want to install power point on it. I recently bought office xp for my home pc. Can I just install power point from the office xp disk onto my laptop? I'd wanted to do that on my pc but it just took over and overwrote the previous stuff with powerpoint, outlook, excel, the whole enchilada. So, is there a way to just install power point?

Well, once you've got yourself that extra license to install Office on a 2nd PC (gotta make sure the situation we're discussing is 100% legit!) what you should be able to do is to select Custom installation at the relevant point during the install process and then, when the installer shows you the tree of which components to install, untick all but PowerPoint. I know this works on an Office-less machine; it should in theory work on your setup as well.
