iPhone 4 voice memos won't sync to iTunes

When I connect my iPhone 4 to iTunes, I have no problem syncing everything *except* voice memos.

The "include voice memos" box is checked. I have a iPod nano that I also use to record voice memos. When I connect it, the voice memos all show up in the "Voice Memos" playlist.

There are many voice memos on the iPhone. When I connect it & sync, no voice memos show up in the playlist.

What am I doing wrong?

connect the iPhone to iTunes, go to "Devices", select your iPhone, go to the "Music" tab, and check "Include voice memos".alternatively, i'm having an issue with where the voice memos are being stored in my iTunes library on my hard drive. they are now being saved in iTunes/iTunes Media/Music/Unknown Artist/Unknown Album. before they were being synced to iTunes/iTunes Media/Voice Memos.
