Need recommendations: Best RAM for AMD Fusion C-60 based notebook
System: Acer Aspire One AO722
Current RAM: Original 2GB module
Planned upgrade: 4GB stick
The system will be used for school stuff by a nursing student so you can imagine it will be mostly browsing (academic and non academic), email, chat, cam, movies and hd videos on YouTube etc, word processing, power point, etc etc. Nothing major.
The aim is to optimize the system for fast boot ups, browsing (some multi tabbng) and light multitasking (cam, music in the background, browsing, word processing).
Should I install the highest bandwidth RAM with high latency (eg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6820231471) or lowest latency RAM with low bandwidth (eg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6820231265) or stay in the middle?
Also, right now it has a 250GB 5400RPM drive HDD. Would it be worth it to spend the cash to switch to a 60GB SSD? Need to keep the overall cost low.. so high capacity SSD drives are not an option? The system will rarely see any use other than what is mentioned above and will never be used for gaming or any heavy downloading. I'm thinking it won't be worth it since the gains will be negligible for the . Any reason to think otherwise?
Please post your recommendations and your reasons.
Thank you.

You are way over thinking it, however on newegg it says that thing only supports 2gb of ram. Have you double checked to make sure it will take the 4gb stick.
Bandwidth and latency really aren't an issue here and you won't see any difference in anything real world. Benchmarks only!!
edit: looks like some Ao722 model do and don't support 4gbs check the Acer site to make sure.
