Sager 5650, loud fans?

Hi!

I´m going to buy a notebook & I find the Sager models 5650, 5620 & the PowerPro IV:24 (powernotebooks.com, by Asus) interesting. But there are in all the tests I`ve read so far of the Sager 5620 with P4 complaints about load fan noice...hmm. Does anyone have any experiences? Also does anyone know the Sager 5650, which is using the mobile P4? Is it the same cooling system in this model as in 5620 or does it use smaller fans? I´ve read tests of the Asus L3000C (which is the same as PowerPro IV:24) & they are all very pleased with the model... But still if you compare the features you seem to get more for the money buying a Sager...but that´s only on paper though... Would appreciate some guidance. Thanks.

Hi Nicke,

We sell the ProStar 5694 (P4 desktop CPU) and the 5684 (P4 Mobile) that are the exact same computers as the Sagers. Sager and Prostar are "sister" companies owned by the same families. I use a Prostar 5694 8-10 hours/day everyday and fan noise is not an issue. I believe it does run more than a P4 Mobile but I don't think it is any louder. The 5694 by far is our best seller and customer feedback has been awesome!
