| Powernotebooks.com & Sager
Hello all!
I'm getting a laptop, and I'm considering the Sager 5260 from powernotebooks.com; the specs look incredible and the powernotebooks.com is supposed to be excellent; just wondering if anybody has had experiences with both Sager and powernotebooks?
Oh! And anyone know where I can get cool decals and / or mods for laptops (don't know if any exist)
Thanks
It's my first post! |

resellerratings has them with over 250 reviews at a perfect 10. I don't think you could choose a better company.
I have nt used Sager before, so I cannot comment on that.

Well I have a Sager I got from powernotebooks and I love it. It has been a workhouse and all kinds of great features. I had to have the monitor replaced becuase of a line of dead pixels, and they sent it right back to me fixed. Very satisfied with my purchase, even when I bought it, they had to back order a CD/DVD/CDR drive for me and they called and told me. Very happy.

Welcome to Techimo.!!
I think the only "bad" thing it's that they are quite heavy (at least the ones I have seen and played with)!
Otherwise, you will be making a great purchase!

I bought two Sager's (8560 & 4560) a few months ago and I'm VERY pleased. I had to send in the hard drive to be replaced on the 8560 (30GB toshiba drive showing bad sectors) and the RMA was fast and easy. It also helped that the HDD is a modular slide out - pretty sweet . I'm about to order another from Sager in a week or so (the 15.7" model). I reccomend them as you can't beat thier prices / models.
Be forewarned that dealing with Sagernotebook.com on the phone can be kinda frustrating as thier English skills are a little bad but they are polite and helpful.
Sorry I can't comment on Powernotebooks as I haven't dealt with them.
BTW - Welcome to Techimo - the absolute best tech forum / community on the net !!!!

I bought a Sager notebook in either 94 or 95 directly from Sager (a Pentium 120 MHz) it was a great machine I used it for a couple of years, with absolutely no problems and then sold it. I had purchased a 3 year warranty which was transferable, the person that bought it had trouble with the hard drive and contacted me, I sent him the information he needed, and they promptly fixed it. |
