| I want to be mobile
In my quest for total freedom i want to be totaly mobile !
i've been able to get wireless internet on my laptop using me cellphone take a look at http://www.techimo.com/forum/t30058.html for details
But The problem is that my laptop wont run more than 2-2.5hours on batterypower and i wouldn't be able to charge it on the road
So i was wondering if i could use solarpower to charge it
i've seen small solarcells that would fit on the back of the lid
But would a small cell like that be able to charge my laptop?
it needs about 80watts ithink and also how would i connect it to the laptop ? |

do u not have a car adapter?
a few solutions besides a solar array.. which they do sell some.. just don't know where.. u can get a few of them.. chain them together.. and be good to go.. I'll see if I can find who sells them
but on to solutions.. u could extend life by getting a external battery pack.. I've seen some made to last a person 6 to 8 hours.. also try not to use the usb.. as it takes power to run.. at least it drains pretty fast for me on mine.. also u can get a car adapter.. and use that whiel u r on the road..

Well yes i could get a car adapter but that would still require me to be in my car !
i want total freedom
for that i belive a small solar array of some kind is my only option.
Getting another battery would be a solution if i could find one
my laptop is from www.compal.com
And it would still only give me a few extra hours |

What would happen if it charges the laptop with less power than it needs?
would that damage the battery? |
