Ok, i'm pricing both a Sager 5660 and a Dell Inspiron 8200 or anything else comparable. I'm hoping you guys can help me make a decision.
This is what I want a laptop for:
3D program development, anything from coding in C++ to using 3d programs and playing some good games
Here is what i want:
At least 2.0 Ghz proc
Ati Radeon 9000 mobile
Something that won't break
Here are my concerns:
Loudness of the laptop (i don't want to be embarrased if i have my laptop at work or at my college class and the fans are loud enough to be distracting) - I'm concerned that the Sager will be too loud considering the fact that it has a Northwood processor which requires more cooling than a normal laptop chip
Reliability of the manufacturer
Screen graphics - there is another thread in this forum which brought to light the fact that the 5660 only supports up to 262k colors. Does this matter? Do most laptops support this or is the Sager a bit deficient in the screen?
