| Do they actually make laptops like this?
So I come into work at one of the places I visit only twice a month and there's this Fujitsu FMV-686NU laptop on the desk I use apparently belonging to no one, or at least assigned to no one yet. It doesn't look like anything special except it's got a wireless card in it and I haven't used one yet. No one minds if I try it out, so I open it up and see that it has a Celeron sticker, 'Designed for XP' sticker, and...
...no integrated pointing device. No touchpad, no pointing stick, no trackball, nothing. External mouse is the only thing available.
I'd never even heard of a laptop without at least one integrated pointing device. I've already worn smooth a small section under the keyboard becasue I'm used to having a pointing device...
This isn't a crisis or anything, but I kinda get a feeling similar to seeing a two-headed snake or something, in a side show.
Or do some laptops (modern, mind you, this system isn't one from a museum or anything - note the stickers I mentioned) come with a 'no pointing device' option or something? |
