ok well, ive just about gotten everything down *hardware wise* on home pc's... but now im ready to venture into a laptop, only problem is i know next to nothing. basically all i reeely want to know is what types have upgradable agp cards and cpu. unless ive been led astray, im pretty sure that those can be upgraded, and yes i know its a pain in the ass. just that ive come to accustomed to just being able to slap a new part or 2 into my tower and calling it a day. rather not buy something that is gonna be useless in a year. anyhoo, any links or knowledge would be much appreciated.

doh!!! forgot, the other thing i want to know is how easy it is to change operating systems in a laptop, cuz im pretty sure anything new is gonna have xp *ewww* i would much much rather slap win2k on that baby.... thanks again

Changing the OS shouldnt be too much of a problem, as long as you dont have strange hardware

just make sure to document what hardware you have and have drivers handy and it shouldnt be a problem. As far as upgrading the CPU and Graphics card I'm not the one to ask

Wish I could afford a laptop.
