Check out the new PowerBook G4. (
www.apple.com) And tell me why there is nothing within 300 miles of it as far as PC laptops go...?
I guess I can't really compare speed and performance, etc. since the hardware is pretty different- but look at the physical aspects of it...
Fast CPU
512MB RAM- up to 1GB
Big Big widescreen display
60GB HD
DVD/CD Burner (Slot loading)
AND the ATI 9000 graphics chip
this laptop has basically everything that the best PC notebooks have, but all of it fits within 1" of height! That is what I call good form factor. None of this 2"+ crap...
The only thing it's missing is SPDIF output.
Now why aren't PC laptop makers trying to do this? I don't really care about 3+GHz or 2 optical drives in my laptop if it makes it bearly as big as my desktop!

Seriously though, are there any PC laptops that are both powerful and thin? I have been thinking of going laptop for my next computer, but don't really like the big thick PC ones- and I'm still a little leery of the Mac OS (Not that it's a bad OS but just the general lack of support for it)
