Pocket Hard drives?

Does anyone know anything about these USB2.0 and Firewire Pocket Hard Drives. I have been looking into getting one but I haven't found any reviews for this sort of thing. Here's the kind I was looking at. They have 2.5in drives in them and are about the size of a hand. Here's one I was looking at getting.

If anyone has any experience with these drives, it would be greatfully appreciated.

Thanks,
P.J.

Semi related..I just bought a 2.5" USB2/FireWire enclosure so I could pull the data off of a dead lappys' hard drive.

After a little futzing w/ USB2 drivers, I was able to use it just fine without any issues....

What kinds of concerns or questions do you have about it?

I was just wondering how fast it transfered and how easy it was to install. It's so much cheaper to get a full size external drive and I wanted to know if it was worth getting it for the smaller size or should I go for a full size external drive?

Guess it depends...IF you are going to be storing large files, or booting off of it, go for whatever has the highest RPM.

Probably 3.5" @ 7200 RPM for externals... 2.5" @ 5400 RPM would be good...but I bet most of them are the generic 4400RPM lappy drives. This is all assuming your using USB2 or FireWire. If you're using USB1, I doubt RPM will matter to you at that point, esp if it's just for storage.

I was using a 4400RPM 18GB drive in a 2.5" enclosure...I trie it under FireWire, USB2, and USB1. For regular file access it was all good. when copying large files, FireWire was the best, and would only be better as the RPM increases.

Just my $0.025438 worth.
