I have an old Winbook XL2 laptop running Windows 2000, and I think the LS120 drive is dead. Whenever I put a disk in the drive and try to access it, the drive makes noise and I get an error saying that the disk is not formatted. When I try to format it, the drive just grinds away and eventually errors out. I would like to take the drive out to play with it and see if I can get it to work, and maybe replace it. Does anyone know how to get the thing out of there? It is built in and doesn't just slide out like the other drives do. Does anyone know of a place where I could buy a replacement drive (new or used)?
Thanks in advance for any help
