Hey, i have a Dell latitude c600 with a DVD/CD-rw

and i need to somehow how get me a copy of a dvd software that has the proper codecs for the Windows Media Player = 9.0.
I don't really need the new application to watch a movie. I always liked the way WMP played them before on my desktop.
The video card on my laptop is ATI mobility or something. Can you give me any suggestions on what or where to look for...?

Thanks.

So what your asking is that you need the proper codecs for Windows Media Player 9.0? Which codecs? =)

Are they not included in the codecs package available at:

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

?

If you have a Dell laptop, and you're just wanting to watch movies, I believe the app they include preinstalled is WinDVD... or at least that's what has come on my last two laptops =) There also should be a CD included just in case you wipe your machine. If not, you can go to the dell website and get all of the drivers and original apps that came along with your Dell by searching for them using the Service Tag on your laptop.
