Ok I think I know what the problem is but hear me out. I have had this pcg-fx-150 laptop for about 2 years. and like a year ago the screen cathode lamp blew out . Like a month ago I sent the lamp to be replaced when i got it back I plugged it in and put battery back and when I looked at the led lights it showed the battery light blinking so I assumed the it was dead and needed to be charged so i left it over night . The next day boom it booted up great No problems I did all the updates xp needed put office xp on the machine and handed it over to my wife for here work.
Now I did notice one thing the battery allways need some charging when she brought it home . So I put it back on the a/c power hooked it up to my network let her exchange files and whatnot and in that time it fully charged . The battery was only at 85 % ( I am wondering if i should have just taking the battery out
and use just the A/C and the next day put the battery back in and let her use it from there and do the same the next day ).
Anyways two days later she came home and said that the laptop wont boot . So with out A/C power I tryed to boot nothing not even the sony spalsh screen. So I put A/C power on with battery in the laptop and nothing again. So then I took the battery out and tryed just A/C power nothing again . So Hear is what i concluded.
a) the A/C power is gone no longer working....
b) This making it so the battery will not fully charge.
(I am under the asssumption sony laptops will not boot unless batterys full)
c) Becasue the A/C is broken it wont boot pc alone and sence battery not charged it wont boot ethier.
Tell me if you think i am correct and what kind of action i should take i dont wont to get a battery if the A/C cord is broken LOT OF MONEY FOR BATTERYS...... HELP PLEASE women is dont my back LOL...
