LAPTOP DELL C600 HAVING MAJOR CRASH

yep, i need your help, please...the problem is that when i booted it this morning, it stops after five seconds and it asks me to repair or correct the following <windows root/ntoskernel.exe file. the file might the same, i dont remember the exact thing, but that is what it asks me to do. It is or was running winxp pro with all the updates and everything.

has anyone had this problem before??
