Its 700 MHz CPU isn't the fastest, but built-in Cisco Wi-Fi and a heavy-duty antenna are available as factory options. Dual USB jacks and a PCMCIA slot, protected by sturdy latches, are standard. CoBRA sales reps claim eight hours of work time from one charge to its heavy-duty (and just plain heavy) battery. Chem-bio response teams can't take off lunch to recharge.

It also doubles as a Bullet proof vest or tank armor.

| Whats the EGad > Dollar ratio now adays? Any way a lot of money.
Thats a seriously nice laptop though! I'd be a little worried though as they drop each one 54 times from 1 meter. Well I guess if it can take it awesome! I'm still shotting for a Centrino, but thats a very niche laptop! |

Hey I got a laptop like that....
Celeron 700...Built in 802.11b antennas, Dual USB, PCMCIA.
Except It's got about 2 hours of battery, plastic latches that always pop off. Ive probably dropped mine at least 100 times through my usually use and abuse. Not bullet proof or nothing, but probably wieghs a whole lot less.
I can wrap it in saranwrap to make it waterproof and tack a bullet proof vest to the outside, and lug a 6 hour UPS with me, and I have an instant war ready notebook. |
