PocketPC - more power, more options, more speed, more memory, good little "computer-like" palm
Palm, Clie, Handspring - less power, less options, faster but because of simplicity, less memory, less expensive, good little note-taker and address book
I use a Compaq iPaq 3870 - awesome device. I previously had a HandSpring Visor which was good for a corporate environment where you have to keep track of your email, meetings, etc...but it didn't do much else besides play some basic games. The iPaq does everything from play MP3's to wireless internet...it plays videos too...and is fully expandable...
I heard that the Palm OS was on it's way out...that it's having a really hard time competing with Pocket PC devices...
Sharp has a hand held too called the Sharp Zaurus that uses a Linux2 based embedded OS (Embedix3) QT Palmtop Environment...
