Hydrolok, anyway.

Once again; any hard drive be it a new one or the one from SONY must have two partitions when using the recovery CDS or else IT WILL NOT INSTALL.

Dont ask me why, but if you do not have the second partition, it can be of 20 MB, 2 Gb, 4 Gb whatever it is good for you, then it will not work.

On my SONY VAIO that has more than 4 years is with a 10 gig partition, so it is 30 gigs for the main operating system and the other 10 for whatever crap I want to store later on. Usually the computer has a partition of 30 mb or less, not very much.

I have all the CDs. It does work as I have tested the copies on my computer and on a friend's who has the same model as mine.

Ok. Let's try it. If it doesn't work, I'm going to toss the laptop. It's seriously gotten on my last nerve : )

Just PM me your address and I will send them to you.

Do not worry about the PayPal.

The Vaio is a good computer. Yes its true that is obsolete to todays standard.

I travel a lot so when I need a spare backup the SONY is always there to at least get the job done.

It is a very heavy computer, but I like it as it means more metal and less plastic. Do not toss it, be patient, go out get some fresh air, have a beer.

I was the same way, until I found the small trick to it of the partition.
