Dark Screen Compaq Presario 2100

I have a Compaq Presario 2100 and all of the sudden the screen went dark and will not come back bright. I can still see faint images. What is wrong witht this? The contrast buttons do not correct the problem.

Borrow a friends monitor and swap it out. If the new monitor works, Buy a new monitor.

If you can still faint images, I believe your monitor has gone south on you.

Cheers!

The computer is a notebook, so I'm afraid that doesn't work. I dunno, I've tried plugging a monitor into it, and themonitor works, it's the LCD that is dark. It's brand new. Id on't understand it.

I would suggest taking it back to the retailer, if you open it to mess with it your warranty is gonna be VOIDED.

Take it back to the seller. It should still be under warranty if it's new.

Angry
dark sometimes

if I turn mine on, it doesn't light up either, but I just turn it off right away, and then back on, and it will eventually light up. It's a pain, I wish I knew how to fix it. it seems like a connection issue!!?
