| Dark Screen Compaq Presario 2100
I have a Compaq Presario 2100 and all of the sudden the screen went dark and will not come back bright. I can still see faint images. What is wrong witht this? The contrast buttons do not correct the problem. |

Borrow a friends monitor and swap it out. If the new monitor works, Buy a new monitor.
If you can still faint images, I believe your monitor has gone south on you.
Cheers! |

The computer is a notebook, so I'm afraid that doesn't work. I dunno, I've tried plugging a monitor into it, and themonitor works, it's the LCD that is dark. It's brand new. Id on't understand it. |

I would suggest taking it back to the retailer, if you open it to mess with it your warranty is gonna be VOIDED. |

Take it back to the seller. It should still be under warranty if it's new.

if I turn mine on, it doesn't light up either, but I just turn it off right away, and then back on, and it will eventually light up. It's a pain, I wish I knew how to fix it. it seems like a connection issue!!?
