can some one give me a way to format laptop i have fdisk and got a c prompt but cannot get format c: to work am desperate need help

If you are using windows xp just boot off the disk and do a full install and it should format during the install.

if you are using windows me 9X create a boot disk and type
format c:\

i think my problem was i got to format c: and i did not put in format c:\ thanks
