Fujitsu Lifebook N3010 - Any Reviews

I have been shopping around for awhile and have settled on the Lifebook N3010 - here are the specs:

CPU - P4 2.8ghz (it is not a mobile processor)
Bus Speed - 533mhz
512mb ddr
ATI Radeon 9000 mobility 64mb
80gb hardrive
4 USB 2.0
1 firewire
combo drive is cd-rw and dvd-rw (only burns DVDs at 1X but I said what the hell)
Comes with XP Home edition and a bunch of other junk.
Screen is supposed to be awesome - MVA SXGA 15" TFT
cost approx $2800 Canadian.

The only negative things I have heard about this model are that the speakers suck and the fan can be a little loud.

Any comments on this model would be appreciated. Thanks

This is a great laptop/desktop replacement. It ranks right below the Dell Inspiron 5150 as they best performing laptop.

You are right, according to the reviews I have read the speakers leave alot to be desired. The battery is very subpar with about 2 hours max. If battery life is important this is a big problem unless you want to spend the cash for an extra battery.

There are several upsides depending on what you feel is important:

1. Fast processing
2. Great Vid Card (Radeon 9000)
3. Wide angle display
4. 802.11g (faster wireless downloads) About twice as fast as those with .11b
5. Optional DVDRW
6. The laptop looks damn good. This is an opinion of course.

I personally am going to go with the Dell, it has about 5 hours of battery life, and is a more powerful machine. But the N series Fujitsu is a great laptop.

Well I got it today! And I am very happy with it, the speakers are pretty crappy but there is some kind of Dolby technology for the headphones and they sound great. The fan noise is not as loud as what I had thought, the review I read made it sound really loud and its not that bad. Can't wait to do some video editing on it.....thanks for the reply.
