toshiba laptop drivers

hi,

i'm trying to fix someone's toshiba laptop and i've got a problem: the screen area is smaller than the actual screen size. it is a toshiba 500CDT, model no. pa1221e yx and as far as i know nothing has been changed or added to the spec. does anyone know what the default display adaptor is that comes with this model and more inportantly where i can get a driver for it?

have you tried toshiba's tech support site?

perhaps try and change the resolution
