Activesync ARGHHHHH!

I have a pocket pc that won't snyc with my computer. The problem is that Activesync keeps going to guest mode where I can't do anything.

Are there any alternatives to Activesync or something I can do. I've looked around briefly at Microsoft's site with no luck.

Thanks in adavance.

What is your setup? ActiveSync version? PDA? Desktop OS?

I did experience that scenario with an older version of ActiveSync one time. Never got to the bottom of it so I just reinstalled and it corrected whatever the issue was. Have you tried manually selecting "Get Connected" so you can create a partnership?

It's ActiveSync 3.7 on XP, Pocket PC 2002

I tried that but it still connects only as guest. I can sometimes (although rare) be able to create a partnership that way.

How many computers has the PocketPC partnered with? There is a limit (2). After that, it goes into guest mode until you get rid of one of the existing partnerships. Also helps to make sure that the versions are the same on the PocketPC and the host.

This is the only computer. I'll have to check on the Activesnyc version on the PDA.

Thanks

My PDA locked up on me today for some weird reason so I had to reset it. Surprisingly after that, Activesnyc started working properly.
