| Toshiba Satellite 1800-400 doesn't power on
Hi
my toshiba doesn't power on, the green led indicates power on but hardrive doesn't start (checked the hardrive and is ok), can't even open cd-rom drive. don't know what to do, looks lokie the motherboard is faulty but i'm not sure. any ideas what is wrong? |

Is it still under warranty? If so I'd give Toshiba a call first. |

are you running on battery or the power pack ? or does it act the same both ways? |

act the same on battery and power pack. need some tech desc for mb then, don't even know the model but it's running on athlon 800 mhz. thanks guys |

Are the lights flashing? If so and it is in a pattern then that is an error code. In my experiance as a certified Toshiba tech, flash codes are almost always the system board.
If you can post the model number, that is the second number on the back label (it might say part number) I wioll try to look up part numbers for you.

AL | can't find power suppply on mb, need some more help, maybe i can fix it myself, tried to find some tech descr but nothing, where is power supply? where is model number on mb?  |
