cheep PDAs

Does anyone know anything about PDAs. I've never really used one but I would like one for keeping track of some appointments and stuff. What's one of the cheepest PDA's(palm or visor???) that would get the job done? Does anyone have any used ones?
Thanks.

Palm makes the M100, which is a basic, no-frills, low RAM model that would probably suit you just fine for appointments and stuff. Last time I checked the MSRP was $100, but it has probably dropped by now. If you have some extra cash, the Sony Clie's are the best PalmOS PDA's around.

i got a compaq IPAQ 3955 for $274 from harmony computers (dont know the website but can google it if needed). it may be overkill if you only want sheduling capabilities.

this has been great for me. i has schedules, tasks, alarms, windows media player for video and mp3s, games, 400mhz processor, along with many others...

i highly suggest finding a place that sells these if you want one that is a little better

ps, i wont sell mine

I got a m100 like 3 years ago and i think it was 100. Actually, I dont think they make m100s anymore, but for appoitnments it was fine.

Try the Palm Zire. No frills; works just fine. Priced under $100. IMO its a low cost "training model." If you find that you like and will actually use a PDA, then move up. If the novelty wears off and you find that you aren't using it very much, you haven't invested too much.

Yes, the Zire is Palm's new bottom-end model. It's also a good one for someone looking for basic features.

We just picked up a pair of Palm Tungsten E models for $170 each. Best buy just dropped the price, and everyone else is matching (probably will drop the price themselves monday).

Great little pocket device, lots of extras and not to high a price...
