What is the little button for thats beside the power button? looks like a little italicized "i" and there are 3 little indicator lites or something beside that.
Any ideas? I press it and it doesnt do anything, lol. Its not mentioned on the Dell quick start sheet etc.

I have it. It launches an Info program that helps you with your new laptop but mine is no longer functional now that I formated my 5100 and did a fresh install of XP

Phenious,
Curious..........have/did you notice a significant increase in speed when you dumped the pre-loaded setup & went w/ just XP?? (I'm assuming you went "minimalist" when you re-installed XP?) |

John,
How do you like the 1100. I'm thinking of getting one for my kid at school as a 2nd pc. She doesn't need anything fast like a p4. Needs it most for Word,Excel etc. and needs wireless capability. Is the 20 gig HD enough? Did you upgrade anything? How about the 14.1 screen size? Big enough?
TIA,
Jim |

inspiron 8200: it lauches the internet explorer, but i think it would do nothing if i hadn't installed acces direct, a small tool that lets you configure some of the buttons.
am i of any help, or am i just stating the obvious? |
