laptop battery wont charge!
 

hey, i have a old compaq armada 7400 and i pretty recetly got a new battery... i let a friend borrow this laptop and he dident plug it into the AC! when the battery ran out, he kept tryin to turn it on until the battery was COMPLETELY drained... and now.... the battery WONT charge ... when i plug it in the charge light wont come on....... but in windows, on the taskbar..... it says 0% remaining (charging) but the battery DOSENT charge..... i think maybe it needs a big jolt of power to get the charge flowing but i dont know how to do that! HELP!

stand out in the thunderstorm of the century with a lightning rod in one hand, a wire off the rod to the positive and negative connection on the battery. hold to the sky for best results. :lol:

seriously, how long have you tried to charge it? overnight? take it to a battery place and have them test it, to see if it will hold a charge. could be it is defective or something.

tried the thunderstorm... dident work.. :D ... i know it is not defective.. where can I get it tested? i dont know if any computer places round here do it.... i got a tiger direct like 1 mile away.
