intel E139761 motherboard

I recently got a Dell Dimension XPS R400 tower with an intel E139761 motherboard in it. It is actually running a pentium II 400 Mhz. It is not the server type motherboard.
Unfortunately there is a bios password and i just can't remove it.

I tried removing the battery but it doesn't work. There should be a way of doing it by changing a jumper configuration.
Can a nyone help me on that plz. Or let me know where i can get a manual for this motherboard.
Thx.

1. Did you keep the battery out for at least 10 minutes ?
2. Dell has a backdoor password to the bios. Try " Dell"
3. What bios is this ? ami, award, ?

Jumper

There's a jumper that should be close to the processor or near the battery with three pins marked BIOS CONFIG. I think it's J7C1. Close pins 1 & 2. There is another close to it marked J6B1 or WOL (3 pins). These must be open. DELL was notorious for this among other things. With this setting you should be able to enter Setup with no problem or password.
Hope it helps.

P.S: Guys, I know this post may be old but this is good info. Thanks.

Bios

If you go into the computer, there is a very small jumper with three pins i maybe blue and it is on the motherboard (upper left part on the motherboard)
it should be set on the more right two pins, move it to the left pins, then turn you computer on.
a screen will pop up and it says clear all passwords press enter to clear the bios password
then shut off computer
move the jumper back to where it was
turn your computer on and it should work now

I don't get why two people would post to an old thread which already had the answer and was solved?
