Opinions on this setup
First time posting a thread in this forum (alot of soild information by the way), But I am looking to build a mid-level system mostly cuz I'm broke and thats all I can afford. So here it goes I was looking at the following setup:
MB= Abit NF7-S, Proc= AMD 2500+, HD= WD Caviar 8MB Cache, 512 DDR 400, and Samsung CD-RW. PWR Sup= 350 watts
I would be using this games only (Im an avid MOHAA, & Battlefield player) and looking for a smooth frame rate, nothing choppy like my existing compaq. Any suggestion / comments would be greatly appreciated as this is my first build. Also is there any way to transfer my existing Windows XP onto the new comp?Thanks.

looks good, i would go for a radeon 9800 vidcard they r about the best price/performance right now... and get a hitachi 180gxp 8mb cache series hard drive, they r way faster.

Welcome to techimo.
That sounds like a preaty sweet system. I would go for a 5900xt or 9800 pro so you can play MOHAA and Battlefield smoothly on High. If their too expensive look into a good 9600 XT. If you can though, get a 5900 or 9800 pro, your system would kick butt with one.
