Will this Mobo work with this CPU?

Alright I have to make one of these threads :s... I know the CPU will work with the mobo but will I have to flash the BIOS to make it work?

will that mobo support a 2500+ Sempron w/out any changes? on the asrock site it says it supports it but I don't know if newegg has the updated version yet.. if it doesn't do I need to just put in a xp cpu and update the bios? any help will be great, ty

Depends on the version. It's no big deal flashing the BIOS, though, even if you need to. You can always RMA it if you screw it up!

Seriously though, about the only way to screw it up is to use the incorrect BIOS for the update (you can read, right?) or to have the power interrupted during the 20 seconds or so while it's flashing.

Socket-A Semprons are Athlon XP with a different label on, and different frequency/multiplier combinations.
Sempron-unaware boards will generally still be able to use them, at least well enough to perform a BIOS update. 166 MHz front side bus support is a must though. (With the usual DDR bus false advertizing, that's "333".)
