Nforce4 Mobo has a different power connector?

Hey i'm helping my friend put together his computer but we got his mobo in and his case came with a 500watt power supply. But the mobo's power connecter has 4 extra connecters. It only fits in 1 way but i dont wanta power it up like that unless i know. IT says something about ATX 2.0?

Here's a pic, took with my camera phone so not the best but shows the point.

You would need a PCI-e compatible PSU I believe, I'm not sure what are the downsides of using a regular PSU and I'm not sure if you could or even should run the PC with a regular PSU. I'm positive that it has something to do with PCI-e, but not 100% what.

ya looks like if the manual says it'll work it'll work, it says 2.0 is recomended, but not required. I guess i'll leave it up to him hehe.

Though he did get a free 90$ case from newegg since the one that came was ben to heck and back and heck again. We called, they sent a new one, we took a hamer and bent this one in to respectable looks(if no one looks at the back ) I'll try to get him to buy a 2.0 PS

20 Pin to 24 Pin ATX Power Connector

Converts a standard 20 pin ATX connector(Power Supplier side) into a 24 pin ATX connector(Motherboard side). This is for the newer socket LGA775 motherboards.
