evidently so....but I havent used SATA....but I suppose it has faster theoretical throughput speeds
also it makes the case have better airflow since the cable are smaller...
and I guess it is supposed to be easy to work with....no master/slave jumpers etc"Even a fool is thought to be wise if he is silent"

Well in my opinion, If it is better I have yet to see the difference...
Ive used both on my Asus A7N8X Deluxe and cant see any difference at all...
as for cabling... its sorta a big "whooop"
considering the mild difference in airflow between properly routed IDE cables and sata cables...
It should be easier to work with but theyre actually much more complicated to set up...
