you need a cluster OS, such as ROCKs linux or something like that. There are also cluster programs available. Small hard drives for each PC, you can do a network boot if the PC will boot from the network, or boot from a thumb drive if the mother board will boot from a USB device. A switch with enough ports to plug up all the PCs to. 1 PC to act as the "master station", this is the only PC that needs a monitor, keyboard, and mouse after everything is setup. And a good bit of time to set it all up.
EDIT: here you go

April 24th, 2005, 05:29 PM #10That is true, it is not like you can run games, or anything like that on a cluster. Clusters are mostly for number curnching, and research type things. You could always run FaD on it

Clusters can be a neat idea, Try to solve PI.................just a silly example, stress loads for a 24 story building, considering a whole planaply of factors, in an earthquake zone. Then get results inside the same decade......................USNavy, flow patterns on a new sub design...considering all temps, crosss flows. Ah but thats simple, analize every shape or form of a propeller...opps back to water density and temps again. DEMIT...math can be a bitch, whole reason some dumb bastard designed a "computer" in the first place.

April 25th, 2005, 02:44 AM #20I am a 50 year old dude, I have 2 degrees in electrical engineering. Its my love, to my own regret I have a bad"very bad" way of expressing my ideas. I was a soldier also, first and foremost.............anyway Vikeor, you are a lot smarter than I was at the same age. Speaky English, sometimes its worth a 100 tons to be known as a good man than to pretend to be a general idiot.
