| MSI K8N SLI Platinum NFORCE4 SKT939 7.1AUDIO DDR400 USB2.0
Hello, I have just purchased this motherboard, I have managed to get everything working, I think, just one little thing I cannot fathom out, is CoreCell the same as Core Centre???
I can see corecentre, and can see the settings, but on the quick guide flyer that came with the box, it mentions D.O.T
I cannot see this.
Thanks |

Core Cell its part off the chipset.. Core Center is a monitoring utility.. that comes in the drivers cd.
D.O.T I believe it for dynamic overclocking or something like that... |

Thanks
Well I can't seem to locate where the core cell is located, have opened core centre and that allows me to change the fsb settings etc, and yes dynamic overclocking technology is right.
I can't find corecell though |

You install it too, but imo you dont need it very much unless you have a good set off speakers and the add on cards. |

core cell is a silversih square about 1cm on either side...mine is directly to the right of the processor by about 2 inches. Yours should be in a similar place. |

Yours should be in a similar place. | I believe he is refering to the core cell software... that lets you control audio, wireless (if you use their card), sound, integrated lan and other features... |

Well...core center is the core cell software, which he already has. |

Hello again, yep I have core centre software loaded, I cannot seem to see corecell software.
I have noticed on the box cover that it mentions corporal commander sergeant etc and I can find the same wording when I open corecentre software and go to the FSB tab.
Maybe this is it after all.
Not sure if I trust myself to go overclocking, even if the manual says it's safe |

| Core Centre IS the corecell software. There is no software called corecell. I mentioned this in my last post. |
