| Buying Mobo and Mobo -> CPU compatability
Hi,
1) Im planning on upgrading or getting a better motherboard for my computer. The thing is I need to know if the Motherboard says its compatible with Pentium 4 and Celeron D for example, does this mean it also supports lower versions like Pentium 3?
2) Im looking to buy a cheap motherboard with onboard video and sound if possible, that will support pentium 4 or Celeron with at least 1.2Ghz and Cost somewhere between $20 - $100. Also must be able to ship to Australia (Newegg for example is useless coz i think it only ships to USA).
If you could answer question 1 and/or 2 I'd be very thankful. |

Please don't bump inside of 24 hours after your original post. AFAIK, P3 used either SLOT or FCPGA and P4 uses, what, S478 or LG775? So I don't think they're even compatible on the hardware level, let alone the system. Not that I've never been wrong. |
