Ordered a new motherboard - did I make the right choice?

I ordered the DFI because it seemed to have the best tweaking/overclocking features and the highest stability record. I also looked at cheaper Asus and MSI board but they didn't compare with this one:

It's expensive, but I'm not building a cheap system either. The initial processor is a 3000+, but next month that will be yanked for a 4000+ San Diego. For starters, it will have 1GB RAM but will be boosted to 2GB. The video card I ordered with the motherboard is an XFX 6600GT, but again it's just a stand-in for something faster.

Hopefully the board will last and provide a good home for an overclocked processor, think so?

From what I understand that's a great overclocking mobo. It should serve you well.

Excellent. I will post benchmark results from my 3.06Ghz LGA775 P4/9800 Pro to a 3000+ 939/6600GT once everything comes. I got next day UPS and it's being delivered at work.

One more thing I'm curious to know - I ordered a floppy drive for $7.50 so I could install Windows onto my SATA 160GB WD drive, but will I need it? I noticed a floppy in one of the pictures of the mobo bundle so that's what made me think it's not native SATA. My XP CD recognizes the two SATA drives on the system, but will the DFI?

I dont know...but you might as well have a floppy drive, they are nice to have.

    Update:

New system is running - no floppy needed.

Overclocked from 1.8 to 2.35Ghz, I'm going to push harder later.
