I have a K8VNXP with the OS installed on the via raid set to Raid O and I have 8 hard drives not in a raid as well so have to use all of the ide channels. Things started acting funny recently ie: ide drives were not showing up.
Consequently I updated the bios and have run into a problem. I am able to boot off the raid only if I have the giga raid function disabled. When giga raid is enabled the via bios won't start up and the drives don't show up in the bios. If it is disabled I can't get to those drives.
Does anyone know how to deal with this.
