ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe ATX S939 NFORCE4 SLI X16 ?

Why is there 2 LAN ports in this mobo? Insted of one and what the advantage?
my modem has only 1 cable for 1 lan port in the computer .Do i need to buy an extra cable for the second ethernet port ?How do i hook this up?I have a old router will this help?

It *should* have 2 ethernet ports.... BTW, I got the same MoBo....

You only need to use one ethernet port.... Supposedly they put 2 ethernets in there for quote/unquote redundancy - they have different chips.... Just pick one and stay with it - I think one is Gigabit and the other is 10/100Mbps.... You *don't* have to use both..... Plug in the cable from your router in either one and you'll be set....

ok thanks.btw hell this mobo just raised my internet speed to some crazy super speed i think.runs so fast.

Onboard Ethernet Controller Problems please help

OK.. I dont know whats going on here. but if i get a download more than 150k or so
my ethernet card seems to drop out. and I have to reboot my PC.
It completely dies. I lose ALL connections and its worthless.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Fix?

Im not finding anything about this problem anywhere..

6 months like this. its driving me insane.
