I may be dead wrong about this, but I believe they're the same board, rebranded. As long as you get the board revision number right, you ought to be OK. I "Un-Compaq-ed" a Compaq once by reflashing the Gigabyte BIOS for the actual board. Any way fo vompariong BIOS rev #'s on the two manufacturer's sites?
There's only two things in life. But I forget what they are.

Amptron is a retail outlet, mostly of PC-Chips and Elitegroup gear. K7VZA equals M807, all you need to mind when updating BIOSes is board revision. The older KT133 boards (v1.x) use a different BIOS than do the newer v3.x KT133A ones.

Kewl deal I knew you were out there somewhere Peter M. I believe my roomate's motherboard is the one with the KT133 chipset but I'll check the board revision to make sure..
The only question that remains unanswered is will it support an Athlon XP CPU? Anyone have an idea?

If it has KT133 then the answer would be no it won't support it, the KT133 is Rev 1.0, only support 100Mhz FSB, If it has KT133A (Rev 3.0) then No unless.
p.s. K7VZA PCB 3.0 shipment starting from week 40 can support AMD Athlon XP CPU which was available on Oct 11,
2001(week 41).

www.pcwave.com has a recent and extensive CPU compatibility chart on Elitegroup and PC-Chips boards.

... and this is your lucky day. That table (http://www.pcwave.com/cputable.pdf) says K7VZA v3.0 with BIOS release 3.3d or newer will run any socket-A CPU out there - Durons up to 1.3G, Athlon-XP up to 2000+ included.
