Help needed with BIOS. - Tech Support Forums

My friend was messing around with his BIOS and he turned on the feature where if it detected that the CPU fan wasnt working, it would automatically shut off. The thing is his CPU HSF isn't connected to the motherboard at all. It's connected directly to the PSU. Therefore, when he tries to turn his computer on, it would automatically turn off before he could get into the BIOS to change it back. Is there some way to reset it or revert it back to the way it was before so he could turn his computer on? Or is there another way to fix this problem?

reset the cmos either by shorting the jumper or removing the battery if that doesn't work just plug a fan in to the cpu header and make the correct changes to the bios but i will say that having the fan plugged into the cpu header and having the board set to shut off if there are any problems is the best way to go. I've seen a few fans die and it will save your cpu

Or a case fan hooked to the cpu fan power pins.
