well...I think I figured out all the components that you want/need from all of your posts...here's the list of what I came up with...if you have any questions, let us know..good luck

A quick question. What power supply are you planning on using with this setup? Also, if you have about $100 more to spend than what's quoted above, then I'd suggest going with a Core 2 Duo setup instead, as you will notice a huge difference in performance. The above components total to $567.50 shipped with $65 in mail-in rebates. If you subbed out the motherboard and CPU for the below items, then it would total $682.50 shipped with $65 in mail-in rebates. Good luck

GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

According to some of the reviews @ Newegg about an AMD Asus motherboard w/ wifi, the wifi is weak.
Most to all motherboards nowadays have the Lan built in.
There is nothing wrong with Asus, they're still a good manufacturer.

ASUS M2N4-SLI Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail $93.99 + shipping

ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail $139.99 + shipping

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Windsor 2.4GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor - Retail $210.00 free shipping
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103751

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+(65W) Windsor 2.2GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor - Retail $169.00 free shipping

I'd personally take the Asus M2N-Sli Deluxe motherboard and the AMD X2 4600+.

Lightbulb
still looking and my apologies

heyal,

sorry i haven't posted in a while but family crisis things going on been rather crazy
so i do apologize.

in regards to the cpu i wanted to go as high as possible and lately been checking prices on the am2 5200 above that they seem to jump quite abit higher.

i've been back and forth to new egg but still havent' got it at the right times the deals listed above are way past lol i check the pricewatch too but they aren't what they used to be.

in regards to the power supply i don't want to go under 500w but thinking the 600-650 but still undecided i'm sure the that 500-550 would be good tho.

i would like to go with an Asus mb just because i've always wanted one and they always seem to have the quality behind it.

i have the funds for my next piece hoping for either mb or cpu would be kewl for combo deal.

i used to have these places where u could get just awesome deals that u couldnt get anywhere else and now either they are are gone or their prices are just about same as others.

anyone have any of those rare places? can you share them with me? pretty please?

thanks for everything,
sb

You dont need anything over a 500W Power supply.
The PSU ExReaction linked to is better than most 500W PSU's. Amps on the 12V are what really matter.

It seems your budget is high enough to get a Core2Duo.
Intel E4300 170$
Intel E6300 183$

As for the GPU, get a 7900GS or a x1950Pro. They can be found for 150$ at newegg and are the best performers at their price.

Here's what i think..

MoBo and Cpu-$150
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...=MBM-MSNV-3800

Memory- $140
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...882&CatId=1352
or

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...792&CatId=1352

Video $90
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&sku=P450-7896

Power $80
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...225&CatId=1483

Cpu Heatsink
$30
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...028&CatId=1997

And the grand Total is $490.00
You would have a good chip. The cooler can handle a slight oc if you feel the need. Nice Power supply, Nice video, decent ram. I think this would handle everything you want it too.

OR

Alot easier this way!
