    newbie e2160

    I'm getting an Intel e2160 with the intention of OCing it to 1333 mhz fsb *or as far as I can get.

    I need a new mobo to go with this and a few other components from my old computer I would like to reuse.

    Like:

    IDE drives (hard drive and dvd rw) *I would like to keep my options open for SATA drives as well though

    Also, I have an AGP 7600 gs graphics card, I would like to try this out with the new cpu, but leave room for a new pci-e card in the future, are there any mobos that come with both agp and pci e?

    I don't know anything about chipsets or sli, I can't imagine I'm going to want to go sli, sort of on a budget.

    And I guess I'll be getting some (2 gigs at least) ddr2 ram (ddr2 a good idea?)

    This is probably your only option:

    ^^^ That's a great board for what you want to do. It has AGP and PCIe, along with two DDR ram slots and two DDR2 ram slots. The VIA PT880 even has decent (not great, but decent) overclocking options.

    The e2160 is a 800 FSB CPU, so I wouldn't plan on hitting 1333 FSB. Reaching 1066 FSB, or more, might not be out of the question though.

    */plugging myself start/*
    It just so happens I have one of ^those^ for sale myself
    Also got a nice overclocker of a cpu to go with it for sale...
    PM if interested.
    */end/*

    But that board is one of the 3 I've ever found that actually has PCI-e 16x slot(only runs at 8x though) and a AGP 8x slot.
    I was in the same position as you just about a month ago. I've slowly been buying parts to make the final switch, which I'm still waiting on my new GPU to get here so I can have my machine back!
    But I picked up the Asrock board, and really it ran pretty good. Sometimes the VIA chipset can be picky, or fussy. But all in all it's a decent board. But really it's not the best overclocking board out there. The only reason you'll be able to get hella OC out of that chip is because it's only got a 800Mhz FSB, which the Asrock board supports 1066Mhz.
    I'll quit rambling now, sorry...

    EDIT:
    Damn I'm typing slower the JLK today...
    That's pretty bad, especially since he's super slow today.
