not certain, but from what i can tell on Intels site, according to that data, the Celeron D, doesn't show a listing for the G31 chipsets.
http://www.intel.com/products/proces...on_D/index.htm
for the compatible CPU's for that mobo, on Intels site, it lists the Celeron 400 Series, best I can tell, the Celeron D's are of the 300 series...
might be something with their specs thats not compatible, despite having the same socket design?
but one would think there shouldn't be a problem, as long as the CPU's socket design is the same, though might be something with the FSB speeds of the CPU's too...
yep, actually double checking, if you go to intels site, it'll show whats the problem, the Celeron 400 series has a 800MHz FSB, the Celeron D / 300 series, only has a 533MHz FSB... I'm willing to bet thats the incompatibility problem here.
also many of Intels boards are known for not having the best overclocking/underclocking options either... especially those smaller Micro ATX boards.
