I am building a new pc from the ground up. I have choosen the Intel Core Duo E8400 for my cpu. I am researching motherboards and wanted to get some input from you guys. I plan on overclocking the E8400 a little and maybe even my ram and video, so it would be nice to find a mb that would be friendly to that.
Hi again.
Out of the boards you listed, the DFI board will OC the best.
The MSI board is the cheap version of their P35 boards. I have the MSI-Neo2-FR (which you can get a open box for $59 bucks) board, and it OC's pretty well, but suffers from massive V-droop. The Gigabyte board is a good solid board also, but the DFI will clock better then it.
Another one to consider possibly is the DFI Blood Iron. These are awesome OC'ers, and are fairly cheap too.
Just my two cents.
I will read up a little more about DFI. I have never heard of the company until a week ago? How long have they been around? Are they pretty repetuable?
