Hi i know that sounded desperate but im pulling my hair out!

I have a Medion MD 8383 which I believe has a MSI 7091 Mobo with c media 9880L onboard sound. I was playing with the Cmedia application yesterday trying to get the digital in working (another story) and messed up my settings so bad I couldn't get any sound at all.

To try and remedy this I (stupidly) decided to remove the C media drivers & reinstall, however once removed, I couldnt reinstall the drivers. I now have device flagging when I boot up and in the device manager saying it isnt working as no drivers!

When I try to reinstall, it says something about there being no relevant hardware for the driver. Another strange thing is the device listed as not working is a PCI device and my sound chip is onboard, not PCI (I think).

Could it be that uninstalling the cmedia drivers has removed some other drivers? I cant even see what the malfunctioning device is, as it gives no details.

I really need someones help as I have no sound at all..and the Cmedia support seems no existent.

Paul

Hi there, anyone please? I know it hasn't been long but this is killing me! Any help at all?

Cheers Paul...

In device manager, right click the device and select update drivers. In the following wizard, point it to the folder containing the drivers.
